Different types of X-rays
There are two different types of X-ray machines:
Medical
Radiography and Dentistry
- Radiography is when you are (mostly) in a hospital environment and are having X-rays on various parts of your body.
- A mammography is an x-ray of the breast tissue.
- A tomography X-rays a specific area.
- X-rays used in Dentistry is also Radiography except that the X-rays are on teeth, not body parts.

Security purposes
X-rays that are used for security purposes are used to scan bags in places like; Airports, prisons, (some) Parliament Houses. Places like that. X-rays used for Security purposes scan bags and some personal belongings - unlike in the Medical field when X-rays are taken of body parts.
